Discount Starter and Alternator 8253N Ford Windstar Replacement Alternator Review

I think this alternator is just great...would buy again from these folks. Brand new and works great. Just can't see spending 2-2.5 times as much to get here in town...I'm for supporting the local businesses, but their markup is outrageous. Come on $250 for an alternator I got on Amazon for $90?

Well here is an update 10 months later...the charge indicator light has started coming on intermittently and it looks like the alternator is soon to crap out. It's making a whining noise just as the other one did. Haven't actually felt it to see if it is really hot, but don't look for this thing living too much longer. What is the problem...don't know for sure, but if you have to replace the thing every year then would be much better paying more for one built with better components as I suspect they may have cut corners to beat the other prices.

I really hate having to put so much into finding a decent price and product in today's world--not like it use to be for sure.
