I purchased these gloves because I recently upgraded from my 250 (which I've been riding since I was 16, I'm 22 now). I ride a 650 and decided quality gloves are a worthwhile investment. You can probably get equal protection for a little bit less money but these gloves look cool and have the carbon fiber to give more protection when the back of your hand slams into the pavement upon wrecking.

My only concern was that I received two defective pairs of gloves in a row. They were purchased here on Amazon but with Edwards Motorsports & RVs. The seller was great about helping me (besides not checking the second pair close enough ,as the defect was almost identical to the first defect) and returning my money upon receiving the 2nd pair of defective gloves. I highly recommend these gloves but I would probably consider contacting the seller to make sure the defective batch or whatever it was has been sorted out.

The sizing guide is pretty easy to use if you have a measuring tape or a string you can cut and measure, but as a reference I'm 22, 5'4 and 140 lbs and I'd say I have about average sized hands, maybe slightly above average for my size and a large was a great fit.
