i had been looking for a 1979 volvo penta alternator for awhile everywhere i looked they either did'nt have it or costs about 5 to 6 hundred dollars crazy i used to be a auto tech my boat does'nt have alot of stuff on it meaning no tv,icebox it's just a fish n ski boat why so much so wanted to get it rebuilt but that was impossible because it was old and made in france so as a last resort i go here find find this alternator that was 150 which i was shocked because usually when your looking for boat parts you think boat shops/stores ordered came in a week, but make sure it comes with pully because my original pully would'nt fit so make sure or call to make sure your original pully fits.if not they will send you out a pully that fits that what happen to me only took a couple of days for that to come and i was up and running checked charging system and was over bat voltage happy boater
