Aries 110 Charcoal Grey Powder Diamond Plate Security Lock Box Review

I use this to lock things up in my Yamaha Rhino in case I need to leave the vehicle and do not want to take everything with me. I also use it to lock up my pistol in the Rhino in case I need to stop somewhere and am not allowed to take it inside.
It is very well constructed and locks securely. You could probably free this from the bracket or open it with very large pry bar or sledge hammer. Nothing is completely secure. However, for most situations I feel confident that no one is going to be able to remove this or open it. The bracket has several holes to attach bolts and the case locks solidly to the bracket.

Pros:
* Solidly constructed and secure.
* You can buy additional locking brackets if you want to move this between vehicle and locations.
* Comes with quality thick foam padding inside.
* You can mount it vertically at the base, or mount it on the side.
* When you unlock it you can have the option of opening the lid to remove something from it, or freeing the box from the bracket and taking the entire thing with you

Cons:
* The handle in not removable. I'd prefer the option to remove it because I do not need it and it actually gets in the way a little where have I it mounted.
* Although this is an excellent way to secure things in an ATV, it does not appear to be very weatherproof. It will probably stand up to an occasional sprinkle but you probably want to mount it in a location where it is protected somewhat. It's not really designed to be exposed to the elements.
* I wish the interior foam was pre-cut into small cubes like in some cases. If you want to cut out a recess for your equipment, you have to slice through the foam and tear potions out. It works, but the result can be messy looking.
* I'd prefer a combination lock instead of a key. I have way too many keys and this just adds another one.
Overall I'm very satisfied with this product and can recommend it.

I am always a bit leery of "custom fit" items ...things that are supposed to fit like the proverbial glove ...but end up not quite.

Well, this one does. And it's a very nice "glove" to boot.

I bought this to use in conjunction with transporting our large dog in the back of our 2000 Jeep Cherokee. The liner creates a pan that fits perfectly in the rear area of the Jeep. There are sides all the way around so that any "accidents" are completely contained in the liner. If you don't need that level of containment, the edge or lip on the back end (like where you'd load those potted plants, bags of fertilizer or the road trip luggage) could possibly get in the way. No worries as the plastic material can be easily trimmed to eliminate that potential snag point. The liner arrives rolled up in its box; lay it out in a warm environment and it will soon flatten nicely.

I like getting what I paid for. This is a high quality product obviously made to last a long time and it's price point fit my needs; it says "Made In USA" on the box, has a lifetime guarantee and fits like it was designed to.
