As a heavier rider of honda vtx1300r , My bike was nose diving very badly with stock and the progressive springs I tried.After installing the race tech 1.kg springs with preload of 1.100 inches and the blue 40lb spring on the emulators adjusted to 3 turns, my bike sits 1-1/2 inch higher ,is firmer and plush ride.And used 15w fork oil as recommeded..I reccomend this setup for heavy riders especially. My thanks to race tech for the phone help .It seemed overwhelming at the start but with their help, I fully understood what I was doing.The nut on the emulator must be tightened after adjustment against the emulator as a jam nut,very important,if you dont do this the adjustment can change during use.. The race tech websight has a calculator to determine what spring strength you need with correct part numbers to order.The emulator instructions give advice on adjustment turns of spring.Emulators control the speed of rebound after the shock extends in a hole in the road..A+
