Let's get right to it:

Installation: Instructions were very general, and not specific to the Jeep. I'm average on mechanical ability, and the install took me about 1.5 hours (Removing stock intake was quite a pain, since it's bolted to the body in hard to access areas). The unit sits directly over the engine, and the parts for the new intake are very simple. Literally just a stainless tube with 2 filters.

Pros:

-I love the new sound the engine makes when giving moderate to high throttle. Really makes it sound nice, especially with the exhaust system. If you aren't looking for an aggressive sound, avoid this intake.
- Minimal performance gains. Without hooking it up to a diagnostic machine, I can tell it has a bit more torque and power. Don't expect to ever make a Jeep into a race car, especially not with a $70 part. But, still worth it.

Cons:

-This did not help fuel economy at all. I tested both at highway and city driving, and neither improved at all. Granted, it did not advertise it would, but the theory is better intake = less engine work = better MPG. This did not happen.
- As stated, installation was somewhat of a pain, and the instructions helped none.
- This unit literally sits directly over the engine sucking in hot air from the engine. I could see this being counter-productive, since the cooler the air the better the performance (Hence why most intakes sit in front of the engine or have a tube diverting air from the front of the vehicle). This is not the case with this.

In short, a good part for those looking to get an aggressive sound with a tiny bit more performance out of the engine. Just be aware it won't help your MPG at all, and also can be aggravating to install.
