Rugged Ridge does not use that cheap stretch nylon on their seat covers. Poly Cotton is a great fabric to protect your seats from dirt, sweat and heat from the sun. No more burned legs from hot vinyl seats. Each cover is custom tailored for your Jeep's original equipment seat style making your seats look like they have been recently reupholstered. Installation is easy with special designed elastic cords, nylon straps and hooks that attach to your seat and to the seat cover mounting points. The center portion (color) goes all the way to the top of the seat.

The vinyl seats in my 97 Jeep TJ were worn out and cracked, So i decided to pick up some seat covers. I had read mixed reviews on the use of neoprene material, so i was glad to find out that Rugged Ridge offered a cotton poly version. I was pleased with the fit upon installation, but it was immediately obvious that the covers were sewn together incorrectly. There are two features on the outside of the passenger side seat to allow access to the back seat: a lever and a pull tab. The seat covers came with the slots for the lever and pull tab on opposite sides of the cover. I contacted Rugged Ridge directly and received no response, but since my Jeep no longer has a back seat, It didn't bother me too much so I left them on as is.

Fast forward three weeks after installation, and the black portions of the seat have faded into a nice purple color. The fabric used for these is in no way UV stable. If you recline the seats you can see the nice original black color in the area not visible when in the upright position. As with most Rugged Ridge after market accessories that I have dealt with, it seems they had a good idea that is poorly executed when it comes to the details.
