I bought this light to finish up the look on the rear of my 2008 Mustang. It fits and looks great but for whatever reason the light never and I mean NEVER shuts off, it just gets very dim. Also I have yet to have any problems with my batter so I don't think this light is enough to drain it... at least over night. When you have your running lights on this light is pretty dim and hardly noticeable at night and much less during the day, but when you step on the brakes it lights up pretty bright as an LED light should. I pretty much have mixed feelings about this light.
