used them several times in the alps and the rockies. they worked great on the same sides of the mountain. if it was much more spread out, no workie. you can't beat it for the price and it came in handy when we lost my chic for 4 hours in a blizzard. we found her only by using them. however i might add battery life will only last a one week trip. pretty poor for that many batteries (3 AA's each).

I am posting pictures of the FUSED and burned out turn-signal bulbs (those supplied with the headlight assemblies). Both The right and the left Assembly were defective. They were shipped with a fault in the bulb, that was provided, or in the assembly itself. The short fused the bulbs into their sockets and caused them to stop working. We did not realize they were not flashing right away. When we were told by someone else and reported it to the Seller the "generous" 30 day warranty had passed so we were out of luck!! Amazon promises protection, so we thought we were safe....guess again! After waiting for Amazon's "decision" they told us they only provide 14 DAYS of protection for defects. If you buy these, you had better check them every day for the first 30 days...after that, tough luck!!!
